What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between a community (that’s you) and a farmer (that’s us). The farm pledges to grow food for the community and the community pledges to support the farm. It is a direct field-to-table relationship, allowing the community to be more in touch with its food source. By making a financial commitment to a farm, people become a shareholder of the CSA.

Shared Risk

There is an important aspect when it comes to being a CSA shareholder and that is the idea of shared risk. When shareholders invest in our farm, we commit to do our best to provide them with an abundant box of produce each week. However, as farmers, we are continually at the mercy of God and the weather. Understanding this is a vital part of partaking in any CSA program. If a plague of Japanese beetle eats all the beans, everyone is disappointed together, and together we all root for the other vegetables. Know that we take great pride and responsibility in providing our members the best quality produce. So please understand we are in this together and that we will do what we can to provide an abundant array of delicious, nutritionally dense, produce each week.
